Hemangioblastomas
is a rare benign tumor of the central nervous system that usually occur in the brain and spine. Hemangioblastomas can occur as sporadic entity or as a component of the von Hippel-Lindua disease ( VHL ).
Gamma Knife Surgery is an option to target and destroy a hemangioblastoma. This type of surgery does not carry the risks of convenitional brain or spine surgery. Please consult with your Physician to see whether this type of non-invasive surgery may be applicable to your condition.
